Hello team,

Tomorrow is the big day! There might be a quick rain shower but other than that the weather looks promising. We encourage you to bring tents/canopies, blankets, and chairs. It's a long meet but lots of fun.

Please arrive no later than 7:45am. Our warm ups begin promptly at 8:00am. Independence is a 50 meter pool, which means it is TWICE as long as ours. We did not have a chance to swim at Independence this year so it's important that swimmers are present the entire warm up time to familiarize themselves with the pool. Coaches have been working to explain this to swimmers, but it can feel intimidating when you first arrive.

Our team sits behind the blocks on the west side of the pool by the baseball fields. When you arrive, make your way over there. Events will be posted on the fence.

Timers:
I've been advocating for dedicated timing lanes for years and, as a consequence, we've been awarded with timing lanes 3 and 4 (sorry!). Please keep an eye on the numbers or the SwimTopia app and swap with timers when the event comes.

**The timer meeting will take place at the picnic tables by the pool office in the shallow end.

Parent relay:
The parent relay will take place during the break (after event #33). Right now, our fearless parent relay has:

We usually only have space for one relay but sometimes an open lane is available. If you secretly would like to join, bring a suit and we'll see how many open lanes they have at the coaches' meeting.

NOTICE: Please instruct your swimmers to stay out of the water unless they are swimming. There are slides, kiddie pools, and splash pads that will be roped off. Coaches cannot monitor swimmers at all times so please make sure your swimmers know about these rules.

The meet is expected to run until 2pm, but may go longer if there are wait times between heats.
